NJ Brides Are All About That Blush

August 19, 2015 | Posted in Trends, Weddings

Somewhere between peach and rosy pink, shades of blush are everywhere at our New Jersey weddings. You name it and we’ve seen it: From invitations to dress color and everything in between, blush pink is one of the hottest wedding colors of 2015.

What’s the allure of this pale pink color? It’s soft, feminine and versatile, so it makes a great accent color. It’s light enough to be part of a wedding gown without overpowering the dress; makes a bouquet look classic and romantic; and can lend a flirty flair to your wedding décor.

Pink can seem like too bold of a wedding color. But selecting a shade that’s a softer, pastel hue tones down that overwhelming, “girly” feel. Here’s how we’ve seen blush done right at our NJ venues. If you’re curious about this color scheme, take a look at the subtle ways pink can play a role at your wedding.

Food and drink. Wedding packages at the Versailles Ballroom at the Ramada Inn in Toms River, NJ include the option of a signature drink, so why not something pink and fruity?

Or, try adding pink berries or flowers to your wedding cake (yes, a custom wedding cake is included, too!) for a sweet and simple way to add that pop of pink.

Bridesmaids’ dresses. From the lightest shade of blush to a rosier pink, there is no wrong way to pull off these stunning looks. Grooms, don’t fret – there are tons of shades that complement these colors beautifully. Try having the men wear navy, chocolate brown, grey, or gold accents to match the ladies.

Bouquets. Nothing shouts “true love” like a stunning bouquet of pink flowers. No matter how pale or dark you go, carrying a bouquet of pink florals is bound to look stunning against a white wedding gown. Light pinks also pair well with bolder florals, so feel free to mix and match.

Lighting. Check out the LED lighting packages that the Versailles Ballroom offers. We’ll set the ballroom aglow in your color of choice to really add that special touch to your wedding reception.

We are so in love with the blush trend and think it’s here to stay through 2015. Check out photos from Jersey Shore weddings for even more “pretty in pink” trends, or contact us to take a tour.
