Wedding Centerpiece Ideas from Traditional to Trendy

December 15, 2018 | Posted in Trends, Uncategorized, Weddings

When you walk into a reception hall, what’s one of the first things to grab your attention? The beautifully colored and pressed linens streamed on the tables and chairs? The fine china and perfectly polished silverware neatly in its place? The awesome lighting and dance floor? Or, is it the decor situated perfectly in the middle of each table setting? While each of these elements brings the reception decor together, it is often the centerpiece that catches your attention first. Here’s a look at some of our favorites from classic and traditional to unique and trendy.

Flowers
Traditional yet classic elements to add to a centerpiece at your wedding reception are flowers. Using flowers similar to those used in the ceremony, they help to add a romantic ambiance to the reception hall. Some brides opt for the over-the-top tall floral arrangements with jewels while others prefer just a few subtle flowers to add color and life to each table setting.

Another romantic element that works well as a centerpiece for a wedding reception is candles. Lots of couples opt for candles to set the tone. As you can see from the pictures above, some got really creative using floating candles, lanterns, and even tea lights with glasses, mirrors, and other features to really bring it all out.

Outside the Box
Some brides want to steer clear of tradition and step outside of the box with their reception centerpiece ideas. We’ve seen some creative pieces including a bunch of feathers and jewels, flowers accented with feathers, and even recently there’s been an increase in the use of tree branches or bare trees with sparkles and jewels to add some romance and style.

Centerpieces help to bring character and style to your wedding reception decor. As one of the first things your guests will notice when they enter the hall and one of the constant focal points they’ll have to stare at throughout the night, it’s only right you’d want them to stand out. Whether you’re going for classic and traditional, unique and trendy, or a combination of the two, there are plenty of ideas that will blow your guests’ minds.
